Angus Greenhalgh exhibition
After being recently burgled and suffering the loss of his laptop Angus’ music was, at least temporarily, put on hold, and he was forced to focus his creative urges in a different direction. This became a happy turn of events giving Angus time to develop his illustration and painting, resulting in an exhibition at Hotel Pelirocco and his self-published sell-out book ‘Me, Me, Me’ this summer.

The exhibition currently on show in the hotel bar consists of a collection of prints created from the often very small original paintings by Angus Greenhalgh. Painted using a combination of acrylics, watercolour and pen, before being computer-manipulated these A3 prints are available as framed or unframed pieces.

Kicked off in true Pelirocco style with a busy launch party in July, the bold and characterful prints have been very popular with both guests and staff and are selling out fast. Inspired by artists including Quentin Blake, David Hockney, Keith Haring and Vic Reeves, Angus’s work explores his preoccupation with the mundane, using humour and striking colours to elevate objects like photocopiers beyond the everyday.
