Brighton is known as being one of the most gay friendly cities in the UK that knows how to throw a good party, so where better place to hold an annual summer festival celebrating equality, diversity and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights.

In 1972 the city had its first gay demonstration parade, and since then the annual festival has grown into a spectacular event, with live music, a street party, a parade, many parties in the pubs, clubs and bars and much more. People come from all over the world to celebrate Gay Pride in Brighton, and Hotel Pelirocco is the perfect place to stay.

We love pride and how it makes the city so beautiful. Over the years we’ve hosted parties and DJ nights to celebrate one of our favourite weekends of the year, as well as pride loving guests every year.

Some of our most popular rooms over the pride weekend include the fun and fabulous Dollywould, the romantic Betty’s Boudoir – perfect for enjoying your breakfast on the balcony before the heavy day ahead, and of course the Kraken’s Lair for those wanting to really celebrate in style and continue partying once they head back to the hotel.
Hotel Pelirocco recommends starting the day with a Bloody Mary breakfast in the bar before watching the parade on the seafront with a few beers. We then suggest heading to Preston Park to catch some live music before hitting the Kemptown Village Street parties. Finally, after dancing the night away we’d say the best way to end the evening is to head back to our late night bar for a rainbow cocktail.
