Paddle Round the Pier – 1st & 2nd July

Europe’s largest free beach & water-sports festival! Great for families and groups of friends, this event takes place on the Hove Lawns (and of course the beach). A mixture of water, urban and street sports as well as live music and activities for children there’s plenty to get stuck into.

Brighton’s Big Screen – 28th July – 28th August

Enjoy all the joys of the cinema on the beach – oh and did we mention it’s free? Featuring a host of classic feature films, the big screen will also be showing the European Football Championships. Grab yourself some fish and chips and a nice cold beer and settle in to cinema at sunset.

Brighton Pride – 5th August

One of Brighton’s headline annual events Pride weekend always sees our fair city packed to the brim. Watch the fabulous Pride Community Parade then head to the festival to join the party. Make sure you book your accommodation as soon as you can as most Brighton beds get booked out months in advance. (At the time of writing we only have one room left throughout the weekend – snap it up now)

Brighton & Hove Food + Drink Festival – 24th-28th August

One for all foodies out there this is the largest festival of this type in the South East. Ten whole days of eating and drinking your way through a variety of indoor and outdoor events. Yes please!

National Speed Trials – 2nd September

This event has been going for over 110 years! Organised by Brighton & Hove Motor Club watch over 200 cars and motorcycles race against the clock along the wonderful backdrop of Brighton’s seafront.

The Colour Run – 23rd September

One of Brighton’s most vibrant events of the year. This one doesn’t really fall in the Summer season but it looked too fun so we had to include it!

This 5k ‘fun run’ (you don’t actually have to run apparently) includes a cloud foam zone & unicorn mascots and ends with a Finish Festival. Not sure there’s much more to say…
