As we embark on another bedroom re-theme – we wanted to make sure we give you a grand tour of the last one! Last Autumn we teamed up with local designer Emily Dupenny of Dupenny Illustration & Design who creates gorgeous wallpaper, fabric, gifts, prints and more in eye-catching often monochrome designs.
Together we designed a new look for what was then the Ophelia Fancy – a cosy attic bolthole, this room already had one feature wall proudly sporting Dupenny wallpaper so it seemed a natural collaboration to create the Dupenny Boudoir. We were delighted when Emily wanted to come on board!
Keeping the burlesque-vibe Emily set about re-imagining the space with gorgeous textile features including this bespoke headboard, silk screen-printed cushions and fringed curtains. It wasn’t just the bedroom that got a whole new look – the bathroom was also transformed with brand new fixtures and amazing dupenny tiles!
Emily designed three lovely ladies to adorn the room: Margo, Agatha & Estelle, who can be spotted in the prints, on the tiles and textiles throughout the room.
One of our favourite details has got to be the one-of-a-kind crockery in the room: gorgeous porcelain mugs and cheeky decorative plates on the wall above the bed. (Psst! Both are available to purchase from reception).
The new room was launched in true Pelirocco style with attendees treated to room tours and Dupenny Martinis a-plenty. Emily was looking fabulous in a dress in matching the fabric she designed for the room!
This has proved a very popular HP bedroom since it opened in November. Have you come to stay in the Dupenny boudoir yet?
