We’ve had yet another wild month at The Pelirocco in May; on top of all the lovely afternoon teas, cocktails and party food that’s been consumed, we’ve been extra busy!

We launched our latest exhibition ‘HP15’ in ode to our 15th birthday this year, which had fifteen illustrators, designers and photographers come together to create 15 separate artworks based on the number 15. To accompany the exhibition launch we went true Pelirocco style and filled a fountain of one of the cocktails to feature on our upcoming menu (keep an eye out!)

We also celebrated our birthday by throwing a Star Wars Party in honour of our ‘Lord Vadar’s Quarters’ Room which saw the bar full of fancy dress clad friends and guests dancing to some intergalactic tunes played by our own DJ Dunce.
Pelirocco opened its doors to Fringe Play ‘In a Better Place’ and 3 separate gigs for The Great Escape Weekend. One band, Lake Malawi, enjoyed playing so much that they returned a week after to play in the bar! We welcomed back monthly night ‘Acoustic Live at Hotel Pelirocco’ for another evening of local upcoming musicians enlightening our ears.

We welcomed comedian Johnny Kingshott to the bar as part of the Fringe Festival, who made us laugh with his alternative branch of comedy. One of our long running favourites ‘Funny Fursday’ returned to the bar with a hypnotist which left everyone amazed and for once, speechless!
On top of that we finished the month with a bit of Pelirocco partying, with DJ sets from The Instant Sisters and DJ Dez.
As per, it’s been another great month at Pelirocco and we’re all looking forward to the next one, but can’t help but hope it’s a bit warmer!
