This May marks a momentous milestone: not only are we celebrating six decades of world-class performance here in Brighton, but it is also the 40th edition of the Children’s Parade and the 10th edition of Our Place. From 1–25 May, we’re welcoming over 100 events from artists around the globe. Dance, theatre, circus, music, comedy, visual art — it’s all here, and you’re invited to be a part of it.”

Welcome to Caravanserai, an eccentric and eclectic creative world built from a thousand repurposed trinkets and treasures. Calling Brighton its home once again for the month of May and inviting the whole community to come and share in its joy.
Located North of St Peter’s Church, the free to enter Caravanserai world encompasses two ticketed venues, multiple bars, food offerings and plenty of unique seating nooks and crannies. Our programme celebrates local, national and international talent and there are plenty of free offerings in our outdoor spaces including community programming, fire pit storytelling sessions, a 360 degree DJ booth, our busking stage & market spaces.

450 bands in 35 venues…fun but exhausting and a bit spenny!
It’s a festival celebrating new music, so much to discover.

The Great PELISCAPE covers Friday and Saturday and is completely FREE!
Apart from copious drinks you may enjoy purchasing, (don’t worry we have plenty of tasty non alcoholic options, from 0% beers, spirits and mocktails).
So expect the usual mayhem but all on our doorstep. Phew!

There’s so much variety, creativity, art and curiosities to ogle, covet and buy, not to mention getting to snoop around some beautiful homes and gardens whilst sampling plenty of homemade cake!
You can follow different trails such as the coastal one, nearby Seven Dials, bustling Kemptown or Fiveways.
Some of these have their own Brochures you can peruse. There are music and dance events, artist talks, and a signing by Fatboy Slim as well as workshops to make felt, flower crowns, weave wire, crochet squares, scrapbooking…you name it!
A delightful way to spend the day, meeting people, chatting and hopefully bringing home some original artwork to spark joy in your home.
It’s not always about hedonism ya know, sometimes it’s about culture innit!
