To begin with we had craft gin welcome cocktails from Devil’s Dyke and dark disco sounds from Spellbound DJs Jayney Blamblam & Simon Price. This glamorous pair had everybody dancing downstairs in the cocktail bar.

I think it’s safe to say that this room is as big a hit as Manager Marko with the ladies! 
All guests were allowed to grab their drinks and bundle up to the new boudoir, try on golden opera gloves, lacy fascinators, corsets, lounge around on the bed, plus play music on the bluetooth gramophone or even watch Moulin Rouge on the TV screen.

Performing once again in our tiny bar, exotic dancer Sirona Thorneycroft aka Xtina Aguilera a la Moulin Rouge shook her tailfeathers and more! Her costume was amazing, as were her shimmying moves!
Several of our otherflagship boudoirs were open for investigating (and posing!) too.
Guests took advantage of a free photoshoot in Japanese inspired Koibito Love, the chintzy Pin Up Parlour and the leopard print covered Bettie’s Boudoir.
This room is just bursting with fun and frivolity so roll up, roll up and treat yourself to a full on hedonistic experience!

Looking ahead to the Brighton Festival in May…
All the locals love the month of May as it’s our annual festival of “accessible, ground-breaking and inspiring arts for all.”
There are several strands – the official Brighton Festival starts on 6th to 28th May 2023 and this year’s Guest Director is Nabihah Iqbal – critically acclaimed musician, producer, DJ and broadcaster.
Alongside and beyond this runs the Brighton Fringe Festival from 5th May until 4th June, with an absolute myriad of arty or ridiculous shows to attend.
The beautiful wood panelled Spiegeltent and Bosco theatres set up in the grassy areas in town and this year a new venue called the Caravanserai will be erected with entertainment and food stalls to enjoy out in the open until late.
From 10th to 13th May there will be over 500 bands descending on Brighton, some established but many of them new, unsigned and looking to thrill you!
Tickets are still on sale for a day, the whole shebang or you can just wander around sampling the tons of FREE Alternative Escape gigs, including our event, see below!

Always showcasing new and unusual music, this year we have:
Soundway Records DJs and their unique blend of Afrobeat and Funk!
A critically acclaimed British record label re-issuing rare African, Caribbean, Latin and Asian music from the 50s to 80s including fantastic some compilation albums, plus contemporary releases such as Ibibio Sound Machine.
Our event will be an ALLDAYER in the cocktail bar on Friday 12th May.
We do still currently have some rooms available during this period, but don’t dilly dally, book tour escape now!

3 FREE circus skills shows per night of 12th and 13th May, outside in the leafy Pavilion Gardens, take a picnic and wander in any of the nearby pubs or the outdoors venues of the Fringe.
